Here are 5 easy crescent roll recipes for tasty treats you can make with just a few minutes prep time! Crescent rolls are a perfect starter dough for all kinds of recipes because it is inexpensive and versatile. It’s so easy to unroll it, make it into whatever you want, and then bake.
For these recipes, it doesn’t matter what brand of crescent roll dough you use, so feel free to buy the store brand. I like to buy extra if I can get a good price and keep them on hand in the refrigerator so I can easily make a quick meal for the kids on busy days or days when I’m not feeling great.
These crescent roll recipes are easy for older kids to make themselves and our teenagers love to make them and then customize to their own tastes.
The savory recipes are good for a quick lunch or dinner. If I were serving them for dinner, I would probably serve the pizza bake or cream cheese bites with a salad or a quick veggie tray. My kids like baby carrots and cucumbers and my husband and I also like sliced bell peppers and celery, so I often serve these together and let them all take the veggies they prefer.
The burrito bake is great just as it is, but you could easily serve with rice, beans, chips and salsa or chips and guacamole.
All of these recipes make great foods for parties, potlucks and family get-togethers. They’re especially great if you just found out there’s a potluck this afternoon or, like me, you got wrapped up in everything you were doing that day and forgot to make something ahead of time! lol
Tips for the best results with crescent roll recipes
- Once you make the crescent roll recipe items, be sure to bake as soon as possible so the dough does not get soggy.
- If you have leftovers, store in a freezer bag in the refrigerator. For the larger items, cut into individual pieces so it is easier to take just one serving out of the bag and re-heat.
- If you plan to save them longer, most of these recipes will freeze well. Of course, things like the lettuce in the burrito bake will not serve well if you freeze it.
- When re-heating, warming them up in an air fryer or the oven will re-crisp them so they are more crispy and taste fresher. If you re-warm in the microwave, they might be soft or soggy.
