Easy Apple Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients

2 medium apples (about 2 cups)

2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated Crescent Rolls (8 count cans)

3/4 cup butter, softened

1 cup sugar or brown sugar, packed

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup Sprite or Mt. Dew

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray.
  3. Peel and core apples; cut into 16 slices.
  4. Unroll dough; separate into 16 triangles.
  5. Place 1 apple slice on the shortest side of each dough triangle.
  6. Starting with the shortest side of each triangle, roll to the opposite point, wrapping dough around the apple slice; arrange in pan.
  7. In a bowl, stir together butter, sugar and cinnamon. Pour mixture evenly over dumplings.
  8. Pour soft drink in the center and along the edges of the pan. (Do not pour on top of the dumplings.)
  9. Bake 33 to 36 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let stand 15 minutes.
