Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa (Hershey’s works best.)
4 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar and cocoa together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the eggs and mix well.
  4. Stir in flour; mix well.
  5. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and pour the batter into the pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the brownies test done with a wooden pick.
  7. Cool in the pan.
  8. Frost if desired.

Chocolate Frosting Recipe

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
 
  1. Combine all of the frosting ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil.  Boil for 1 minute.
  3. Poke holes in a hot cake or brownies with a fork.
  4. Pour the hot frosting over the cake or brownies.

Notes

Of course I make the quickie version of chocolate frosting with a secret ingredient!
 
To make quickie chocolate frosted brownies, I start with the 5 ingredient recipe above. Then, I add chocolate chips to the recipe and sprinkle some chocolate chips on top after I take the brownies out of the oven, while they are still piping hot. Then when the chips are melted, I spread the melted chocolate chips over the top for an “over the top” double chocolate brownie.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Beat ingredients for approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  5. Cool.
  6. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting recipe.

Ingredients

1 box brownie mix
2/3 cup oil (or the amount listed on the box)
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the brownie mix, oil, and cherry pie filling until fully combined.
  3. Lightly grease or spray an 8×8 inch or 9×9 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  4. Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake according to the time listed on the brownie box.
  6. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick 1 inch from the edge of the pan. If the toothpick comes out clean, they’re done.
  7. Let cool completely, or serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!

Ingredients

1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Make the brownie batter according to the package directions. Pour into a greased 8×8-inch pan and bake according to the directions on package. Let cool slightly.
  2. To make the topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
  3. Spread the warm topping evenly over the baked brownies.
  4. Let the topping set slightly before cutting into squares.
  5. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 box brownie mix
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Combine the brownie mix and flour in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix well until fully blended.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips. The dough will be stiff.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look slightly soft.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy cookies, underbake slightly.
  • Add chopped nuts or white chocolate chips for variety.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Here’s a super simple brownie recipe your family is sure to love! This easy Marshmallow Brownies Recipe makes deliciously decadent brownies packed with chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallows and more! Thy’re perfect for get-togethers and potlucks!

Ingredients

1 pkg. fudge brownie mix
1 (10 oz.) pkg. mini marshmallows
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. Mix brownies according to the package directions for fudge-like brownies and pour into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  3. Bake 28-30 minutes.
  4. Top with marshmallows and bake 3 minutes more.
  5. The marshmallows will not be completely melted. Cool.
  6. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter or margarine.
  7. Stir until smooth.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Add Rice Krispies cereal.
  10. Spread on brownies.
  11. Chill 1-2 hours before cutting.

3/4 cup butter, melted
3 cups crushed pretzels
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 box brownie mix
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°
  2. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  3. Stir in the crushed pretzels and sugar and spread on the inside of the baking dish to make the crust.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes.
  5. Prepare a brownie mix according to the box directions.
  6. Pour over the prepared crust.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes. (Do not over-bake.)
  8. Cool.
  9. When cooled, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
  10. Spread over the top of the baked and cooled brownies.

5 1/3 cups shredded coconut
1 (16 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 can chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar until fully combined.
  2. Spread the coconut mixture evenly over the cooled brownies.
  3. Remove the lid and foil from the can of frosting. Microwave for 20–30 seconds until pourable. Stir well, then pour and spread evenly over the coconut layer.
  4. Warm frosting to soften in microwave; Then pour on top of all.

For easier cutting, chill the brownies in the fridge for 30 minutes to set the frosting.

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 -3/4 cup nuts

Topping:

1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 brown sugar
1 cup coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt and nuts.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Pour into a greased 8×8 inch pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until done.
  7. Mix the topping ingredients.
  8. Spread over the baked brownies.
  9. Place under the broiler (about 3 inches from the heat) to slightly brown the coconut.

Ingredients

Units

1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)
1–1 1/2 cups chocolate chips*
1–2 Tbsp. of red food coloring (adjust to desired color)
1 cup marshmallow fluff
30 large marshmallows**

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare the brownie batter according to the box directions.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips and red food coloring until you reach a vibrant red color. (Different brands of food coloring get red faster so keep adding until you have the shade of red you want.)
  3. Bake according to the package instructions.
  4. Immediately after baking, drop spoonfuls of marshmallow fluff over the hot brownies.
  5. Top with large marshmallows.
  6. Broil for 15–20 seconds until the marshmallows are golden. Watch carefully—they can burn quickly!
  7. Cool completely, then cut into squares using a knife sprayed with cooking oil.

Notes

*If you like, swap in white chocolate chips or use a mix of both white and regular chocolate chips.

**If you don’t have large marshmallows, you can use mini ones. Just watch them carefully while broiling.
