This easy honey garlic chicken recipe is a super yummy and easy to make Chinese chicken dinner recipe you can make in 10-15 minutes!
Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into small pieces (about ½ inch)
salt and pepper (to taste)
3 Tbsp. honey
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced or 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes (optional, to taste)
Serve this honey garlic chicken with your choice of these optional items:
- brown or white rice
- green onions, sliced
- sesame seeds
- lime wedges to squeeze over chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly season the chicken with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic and red pepper flakes, if using, in a small bowl until well combined. Add the sauce to the pan and toss to coat the chicken pieces. Cook until chicken is cooked through, 4-5 more minutes.
Serve with steamed rice and top with green onions, sesame seeds and a squeeze of lime juice, if desired.

½ green pepper, finely chopped
1 tsp. butter or margarine
2 eggs
4 cups rice, cooked
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Sauté green pepper in a skillet with butter. Add eggs and stir until scrambled and set. Add rice and soy sauce. Heat through. Serves 8.
