Easy Yummy Chocolate Cinnamon Pretzel Snacks

Quick, Easy And Yummy Pretzel Snacks

Here are a couple recipes for some easy and yummy pretzel snacks!

Rolo Pretzel

1 bag small pretzel shaped pretzels (not sticks)*
Rolo candies
Pecan halves or M&M’s

On baking sheet place pretzels with 1 Rolo candy on top of each pretzel. Bake at 200 degrees for 9 minutes. Remove from oven and press a nut half or M&M in center.

*If you can find the small square pretzels these work even better.

Sweet Pretzel Nuggets

1 pkg. (15-18 oz) sourdough pretzel nuggets
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup sugar
1-2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Combine oil, sugar and cinnamon and pour over pretzels. Microwave, uncovered on high for 2 minutes, stir. Microwave 3-4 minutes longer stirring after each minute until oil is absorbed.

why SOURDOUGH pretzels? Does that add a special flavor with the cinamon sugar?

No it probably doesn’t matter what kind of pretzels yo use.

I tried the pretzels with rolo candy and they were a big hit ! Ran out of rolos and tried caramel filled candy kisses and won’t make that mistake again. Top didn’t melt, bottom melted too fast. Will not run out of rolos when making this again. Had to hide them from my husband so I would have enough for Christmas. He was eating them like popcorn.

Do you think almonds would work instead of pecans? What else could you substitute, besides M&M’s (that might be too much sweet in one bite)?? Another pretzel maybe?

You could use any kind of nut you want on them. Almonds, walnuts even peanuts.

I had this recipe a few years ago, but it called for a Hershey’s Kiss in the middle. That was the only difference, and the Kiss fit perfectly in the pretzel.

Thanks for the photo. It was hard to picture otherwise.

Cynthia-if you used M&Ms they must be crushed to stick to the pretzel. Would you be okay with that? I wouldn’t want a “broken” candy on my yummy pretzel snack. Also, putting a second pretzel on top wouldn’t be as pretty. You could put the M&M there because it wouldn’t have to be crushed for the yummy pretzel snack to stick together.

Also, pecans add that special holiday richness. Otherwise I don’t believe the kind of nut matters.
