Red Velvet Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
Units
1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)
1–1 1/2 cups chocolate chips*
1–2 Tbsp. of red food coloring (adjust to desired color)
1 cup marshmallow fluff
30 large marshmallows**
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and prepare the brownie batter according to the box directions.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and red food coloring until you reach a vibrant red color. (Different brands of food coloring get red faster so keep adding until you have the shade of red you want.)
- Bake according to the package instructions.
-
Immediately after baking, drop spoonfuls of marshmallow fluff over the hot brownies.
-
Top with large marshmallows.
- Broil for 15–20 seconds until the marshmallows are golden. Watch carefully—they can burn quickly!
- Cool completely, then cut into squares using a knife sprayed with cooking oil.
Notes
*If you like, swap in white chocolate chips or use a mix of both white and regular chocolate chips.
**If you don’t have large marshmallows, you can use mini ones. Just watch them carefully while broiling.
