Easy No-Bake Zucchini Bread Idea

Easy No-Bake Zucchini Bread Idea

Homemade zucchini bread is yummy, but it’s often too hot to bake it in the oven. Here’s an easy trick to making zucchini bread without heating the house.

Easy No-Bake Zucchini Bread Idea

Easy No-Bake Zucchini Bread Idea

From: Andrea

I very rarely turn on the oven during the summer… Why pay to run the a/c to fight against the heat from the oven? We all like homemade zucchini bread but I didn’t want to turn on the oven just to use up some zucchini from the garden.

I always like the end piece of the loaf of zucchini bread so I decided to try making it in the waffle iron and we LOVE it! If someone likes the gooey middle, they may not prefer them this way.

I have also made Amish Friendship Bread in the waffle iron. I think you could do this with most ‘sweet’ breads. If we have cornbread in the summer, I make that in the waffle iron as well. Hope this idea helps someone else out. :)

P.S. I did not vary anything in the zucchini bread recipe.

Using a waffle iron is a great idea. But I don’t have one. I’m going to try this idea, only making “pancakes” instead.

What a great idea! The corn bread “waffle” sounds tasty. I’ll have to go hunt down my waffle iron.

Hey! I have a waffle iron!! Somewhere :) I think it’s on one of the garage shelves, just have to get the nerve up to go out there and look. What a great idea! I too though would like the bread recipe. I’ve tried plenty of Z bread recipes, some are just too sweet for me, or are ridiculous in the number of ingredients used.

could you use one of those grilled cheese sandwich presses.
if I get a waffle iron people would expect waffles for breakfast.
one more thing added to the menu.

I’m not sure Lynda. The waffle works good because the waffle batter is runnier like quick bread batter and with the “dips” in the waffle iron it holds the batter in so I don’t know if a sandwich press is too flat. That would be the main thing you have to think about.

yep .. summer will be here soon . and then the rotten hot weather .. hopefully we will continue to have these nice temps for a while longer .. nice and cool in hte evenings, over nite and in the early morning hrs .. and then about noon or 1 then it gets a bit hot .. some days all we need is a fan on us .. bc there is a slight breeze with the warmer temps …
hope all is well with evryone.. :D ..

mine does 2 sandwiches and has a dip in them. then when the sandwiches are done they are sliced almost all the way through. Not the flat ones which I loved and can’t find at a decent price.
My son came home with this sandwich toaster from university. One of his room mates made a mistake and gave it to him instead of the guy who it belonged to. Didn’t find it until after he moved to China and since nobody called asking about it I inherited it. Used it when the grandchildren were here last week and they loved making their own lunches.
Other than that it takes up space in the cupboard.

This post was more for how you can use a waffle iron in the summer etc. to cook your quick breads instead of having to heat up the oven but here is our recipe for Zucchini Bread if you need it. Hope this helps.

I m estranged from my family. They are just so toxic. And my two brothers well are just resigned to their families and I was the baby. Always a nuisance so I said goodbye for good to each. Life is too short to try and make them a part of my life when they don t bother with me. They bothered when I was married to money of course but not after I was divorced then I was a burden again. So I cut ties. Sometimes you just have to accept what is. The last straw was when my middle brother blamed me for our fathers death. He said we were happy as a family before you were born. I never knew he felt such hatred towards me. I was just a baby. when my parents died. Sometimes family is best set away from you. Guilt or not. I refuse to feel guilty for being born. My family has serious issues I won t shoulder blame for!

Your recipes are so wonderful so much like how my family baked and cooked growing up! I love this cookbook. And zucchini bread is one of my favorites. I don t buy in store because it’s just not as fresh as picking it from your own garden. I look forward to fresh garden picked zucchini every year.
