Cinnamon Roll Cake Recipe

This cinnamon roll cake recipe makes the perfect coffee cake for Christmas morning, breakfast brunch, dessert or just because!

Cinnamon Roll Cake Recipe

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted

Filling:

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar
5 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease a 9×13 pan.  Mix ingredients in order just until combined. Spread into the pan. Mix filling and drop by spoonfuls on top of batter. Using a knife swirl in filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Frost with glaze when cake is cooled to slightly warm.

    This was delicious! Just made it this morning. There was much too much filling for me, so next time I will halve it, but otherwise I think we have a keeper!

    How about layering batter, filling, batter and baking it in a Bundt pan so the slices come out like the rolls?

    Oh, this looks yummy, and SO much easier than making cinnamon rolls that you have to roll out and let rise, etc. (Sorry, ladies, I’m lazy. LOL) I bet this would be good with raisins in it, too.
