Smoky Almond Cheese Triangles

Smoky Almond Cheese Triangles Recipe

There are many people out there who don’t like their food too hot or spicy. If you’re one of them, this Smoky Almond Cheese Triangles recipe is the recipe for you! These would be something different from the usual nachos and salsa for tailgating or Christmas and New Year parties. This recipe would make a great after school snack, too!

Smoky Almond Cheese Triangles

6 (8 inch) flour tortillas
1/2 stick (4 oz.) butter or margarine
8 oz. (2 cups) cheese, your favorite – cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack
1 can (6 oz.) smoke flavored almonds, chopped

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread butter on one side of a tortilla. Place, butter side up, on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6 minutes or until crisp and golden. Heat broiler. Mix cheese and almonds; sprinkle on tortillas. Broil 3 minutes 5-6 inches from the heat source until the cheese is bubbly. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.

I think I saw a typo on the recipe: 1/2 stick of butter is 2 ounces.

Thanks for looking at the recipe so close but I double checked and 1/2 a stick of butter is 4 oz. plus there are 4 – 4 oz sticks in 1lb of butter which is 16 oz. I am glad when our readers our checking our recipes for us and especially when the tell us in a nice way it could be wrong.
