I just wanted to say how much I love your website, email updates and books. You have given me so many good ideas over the last few months about not only how to save money but to really think about creative ways to use things and be grateful for all I have. Thank you. Your email is always the first thing I open when I check it, and I always tell people about your books etc.
Keep up the good work, you are providing so much comfort to people, I just wanted you to know.

    Hi Tawra,

I just have a quick question about the peppermint in this recipe. Is the peppermint peppermint extract or fresh peppermint? The timing of this post seems to be fate. My son just noticed a commercial this morning for the new Chips Ahoy cookies, specifically the chocolate chip mint which is high up there are on his favorite flavor combinations list. He perked up and said “Oooo Mom I want those!” And here you go posting a homemade cookie with the same flavor combination. It is fate I tell ya. I can’t wait to make a batch and watch the yummy expression on his face when he takes the first bite. Thank you for sharing what you do with us.
