This Easy Spiced Nuts Recipe is a yummy recipe, ideal for holiday parties! Don’t spend $10 at a concert for them when you can make them at home for $3! Be sure you have someone around to help you eat them. :-)

This Easy Spiced Nuts Recipe is a yummy recipe, ideal for holiday parties! Don't spend $10 at a concert for them when you can make them at home for $3!

Easy Spiced Nuts Recipe

1 egg white, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon water
3 cups walnuts, pecan halves, almonds (alone or mixed)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

In a small bowl, beat the egg white with the water. Stir in nuts, mixing until well blended. In a another small bowl, mix together sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the moistened nuts. Spread nuts on a pan lined with foil or silpat. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Do not burn the nuts.

    I followed the directions exactly, and at 23 minutes, the house was full of smoke and they were black.

    They were completely inedible. 🤢

    They looked nothing like the delicious picture. 😔

      Lower oven temp to 300° and stir every 5 minutes until nuts are sufficiently toasted but not burned. Do not walk away do not leave them unattended.

    I have made these for several years now…they are now requested by those that have tasted them. I now make these and give as gifts for the office with a bottle of wine. They are a HIT!!!
