This homemade French breakfast puffs recipe makes an extra tasty muffin like breakfast item. They’re light, tender and delicious and they’re oh so easy to make! The butter and cinnamon make them so yummy!

Homemade Breakfast Puffs Recipe
2 cups baking mix
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 24 mini muffin cups. Mix baking mix, sugar, nutmeg, margarine, milk and egg. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake 10 minutes.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Quickly roll the puffs in melted margarine, then in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Makes 24 puffs.

What is baking mix. These look yummy!!!

Baking mix is like Bisquick. It is made with flour, baking powder, dry milk etc. and you can keep in your pantry. Then when you need to make biscuits, pancakes etc you can use the baking mix which saves a lot of measuring and you only have to add the liquid ingredients.

I haven’t thought of these in forever! Thank you for sharing the recipe. Our school used to have a breakfast with Santa fundraiser for the PTO and always served these little puffs. They were always so scrumptious. I can’t wait to make them tonight for dessert!
