Combine the following:
6 potatoes peeled, cut into small cubes, and cooked in salted water
until tender. Drain.
1 small (7 oz.) can of Spam cut into small cubes
1 cup of grated cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of milk
Put in a casserole dish and top with grated cheese if desired
and heat through in a 350 degree oven (about 30 minutes).
Makes 6 servings.
Sometimes Spam gets a bad rap but done like this it can really be good and most people can’t tell the differece. Sounds good.

I got this receipe years ago from my grandmother [who lived thru the depression} We live in the south
easy peach cobbler
1 can peaches {drain off juice}
1 cup bisquick {she used flour}
1 cup sugar
1cup milk
2tablespoons butter or margarine
Mix Flour and sugar well
add milk
pour peaches over mixture
and dot with butter
cook about 30 mins or untill brown
if it seems a little dry just pour a little juice over the cobbler
this is simple and good
I use bisquick or store brand because it seems to not try out
I mean dry out, sorry Iam slow this morning
I forgot to mention cook this at 350
Spam is not cheap here about 3.00 for less tha a lb
Spam isn’t super cheap although I can get it for about $1.75 a can. I grate it with pickles and mayo and can get about 8 sandwiches from that. Makes it about $.25 a serving. Plus to use one can in a casserole like this where you can get many servings out of it isn’t too bad.
Some places Spam might be more expensive then it is here. If it is of course then you should just use one of the other recipes that might work better for you.

we usually use “treet” which is the generic brand of the spam sold at walmart near my house… i think it tastes the same… and its only 99/cents here…
also, try the dollar stores, i know the one near me has the spam (when its in stock) for like $2/can…
lately, i havent seen it stocked in the dollar store… the manager told me he normally sells out of the spam asap…
i make the same recipe too jill… my hubby and son love these sandwiches :D… me? i prefer the leftover chicken sandwiches (which i make with onion, celery and mayo)…
also, my daughter wanted me to share with you all, at the walmart this week, she bought 10 lbs of chicken legs for $5 (in the huge bag) and the 5 lb roll (its the biggest roll they have) of hamburger was $6.50/for each roll…
not sure if this is the same for everyone but she did ask me to pass this on to everyone here on the website…

my husband loves spam sandwiches so we eat them once a month or so. i cut them into 4 1/4 slices and fry them in a little maple syrup and serve them like hamburgers with lettus, tomatoe and mayo. you can get them at the local grocery for 1.00 so its a cheap and quick meal.
my mom when i was growing up also used to make it for breakfast sometimes and slice it into strips like bacon and fry them in maple syrup.
I grew up eating (and liking) Spam. In hard times, my husband, 3 kids and I had Spam, browned in a skillet with brown sugar and crushed pineapple on it, for our meat dish. Even now that I live alone, I buy Spam as a good way to have meat on hand on a limited budget. I appreciate the Spam recipes! Blessings…Joyce
Spam is an absolute staple in our house. My husband loves looking for new recipes on the web and he has found some really good ones using spam as the main ingredient. We love spam here at the house and especially when we are camping. I always buy it when it on sale for 2 for $5. I usually buy several cans at this price, just to make sure we always have some on hand.
I can’t get my son to eat ham, but he loves spam especially fried and severed with fried eggs. We often have this for dinner when my husband a firefighter is working at the station.
Thanks for giving us some more recipes to try.
