Great Grandma’s 1950’s Peach Cobbler Recipe

6 peaches, sliced and with pits removed
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon and/or nutmeg
1/2 cup water


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Arrange the peaches in a well-greased baking dish.
  3. Blend all of the remaining ingredients except water.
  4. Spread evenly over top of the peaches.
  5. Pour water over the topping.
  6. Bake 45 minutes, until the peaches are tender and the top is crisp.
