Apple Plum Crisp Recipe

This easy apple plum crisp recipe is another great variation on an apple crisp recipe, with the plums adding a nice sweetness. You can easily substitute peaches or nectarines to make an easy peach cobbler!

Ingredients

4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
2 cups plums, pitted and sliced
1/2 cup margarine, melted and divided
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon, divided
1 cup oats
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Combine 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup brown sugar, lemon juice, flour and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
  3. Add apples and plums.
  4. Toss to coat well.
  5. Place in an 8×11 inch baking pan.
  6. In a bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon along with the oatmeal, nuts and ginger.
  7. Sprinkle over the fruit.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until the fruit is tender and the topping is crisp and browned.
  9. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.

Notes

  • If you prefer, you can substitute 2 cups of peaches or nectarines for plums.
