2 Ingredient Chocolate Angel Food Cake
I couldn’t believe how easy this Chocolate Angel Food Cake recipe was the first time I made it! Just 2 ingredients and a few minutes of prep give you a delicious chocolate dessert that’s perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
1 box angel food cake mix (just add water type)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the cake mix package directions.
- Place the angel food cake mix and cocoa powder in a large bowl. Mix until evenly combined.
- Add the amount of water called for on the cake mix box, and vanilla, if desired. Beat until well blended and fluffy.
- Pour the batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan or the pan recommended on the package.
- Bake according to the package directions, or until the top is golden brown and springs back when lightly touched.
- Cool completely as directed on the package before removing from the pan.
- Slice and serve plain, or top with whipped cream, fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
- Be careful not to get any grease or oil in the bowl or pan, as it can prevent the cake from rising properly.
- This cake is light, fluffy, and has just the right amount of chocolate flavor without adding extra ingredients.
