Easy Pepper Steak Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. round steak
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Dash of pepper
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup celery, chopped (optional)
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced (optional)
1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup water
1 medium green pepper, cut into slivers
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
12 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Cut round steak into 1×3 inch strips.
  2. Make the sauce by combining the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, soy sauce and a dash of pepper.
  3. Add the meat, flour, celery, mushrooms, and onions to the sauce. Stir to coat.
  4. Sauté in hot oil until the meat is browned.
  5. Add water. Cover and simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  6. Add the green peppers and simmer until tender.
  7. Add the tomatoes and mix.
  8. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  9. Serve over rice or noodles.
