Quick and Easy Hamburger Casserole

Here’s a quick and easy hamburger casserole you can make with about 10 minutes’ work that’s a little fancier than a basic hamburger casserole!

Ingredients

Units

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. minced garlic or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (more or less to taste)
1 (10.5 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (optional)
2 cups macaroni, cooked
8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese grated or shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic in a skillet until tender.
  3. Drain the hamburger mixture.
  4. Stir in soup, milk, salt, pepper and mushrooms.
  5. In a 2 quart casserole dish, layer half of the hamburger mixture, then the macaroni and then cheese.
  6. Repeat with the meat and macaroni. Save the last half of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes, sprinkle the top with the remaining cheese.
  9. Return to the oven long enough to melt the cheese.
