Low Carb Hamburger Alfredo Casserole

This low carb hamburger alfredo casserole is low in carbs, but rich in flavor! Starting with hamburger and Italian sausage and packed with Alfredo flavor, it’s a hamburger casserole you’re sure to love, especially if you are eating a low carb diet!

Ingredients

Units

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 small onion, diced
2 cups fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite sized pieces
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 (8 oz.) block cream cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. minced garlic
2 cups package shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a large skillet, brown and crumble the ground beef, Italian sausage and onion over medium heat.
  4. Drain the fat.
  5. Steam the broccoli, just until tender.
  6. Add to the hamburger mixture.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Place in the baking dish.
  9. Place the cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for about 45 seconds, until soft. Stir until creamy.
  10. Gradually stir the heavy cream into the cream cheese.
  11. Stir the Parmesan cheese, oregano and garlic into the cream cheese mixture.
  12. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the hamburger broccoli mixture.
  13. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  14. Cover with aluminum foil.
  15. Bake for about 35-45 minutes. When it it finished, the cheese should be melted and the edges should be a very light golden brown.
