Crockpot Hamburger Casserole

Ingredients

Units

2 lbs. ground beef, browned
1 tsp. onion powder
1 onion, chopped (optional)
1 green pepper, chopped (optional)
3 (1 oz.) pkgs. gravy mix
2 1/2 cups water
OR leave out the gravy mix and water and add 3 cups leftover beef gravy
2 (7.5 oz) cans biscuits
salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, onion powder and chopped onions and peppers (if you’re using them).
  2. Spray the crockpot with cooking spray.
  3. Spread the browned ground beef and onion mixture evenly across the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Mix the gravy mixes and water together.
  5. Pour over the ground beef.
  6. Place the biscuits on top.
  7. Put 6-8 paper towels under the lid when you place it on the crockpot (to keep the condensation off of your biscuits).
  8. Cook on low for 4-5 hours.

Notes

  • To Bake In The Oven: Place the ingredients in the same order in a 9×13 inch greased baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes, until the biscuits are browned on top.
