Fluffy White Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
1½ cups sugar
2 egg whites
⅓ cup water
¼ tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, egg whites, water and cream of tartar.
- With a hand mixer, beat the mixture on low for 1 minute.
- Continue to beat on low speed over low heat until frosting reaches 160° (about 8-10 minutes).
- Pour into a large mixing bowl and add vanilla.
- Beat on high until the frosting forms stiff peaks (about 7 minutes).
Makes 7 cup. Frosts about two 9×13 inch cakes.
