Your house will smell irresistibly good to your family when they come home at the end of a long day to this oatmeal apple cookies recipe! Kids love oatmeal cookies, but throw in the smell of cinnamon and apples and you have a winner.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 3 cups old-fashioned oats 1/2 cup dried apples, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream butter and sugars.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, cinnamon and baking soda and add to butter mixture.
  5. Fold in oats and apples.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let stand for 1 minute before removing from the cookie sheet.
