Homemade Frozen Bananas Recipe

Homemade Frozen Banana Treats Recipe

bananas
skewers (optional)

Cut the bananas in half crosswise. Insert a skewer in the thicker end. Place the bananas on a tray and place in the freezer. When frozen, move to a plastic bag and keep frozen until ready to use.

Toppings

yogurt nuts, finely chopped
peanut butter applesauce
melted chocolate coconut
wheat germ

Allow the bananas to thaw slightly. Put the toppings in small bowls. Dip the banana before each bite. Eat plain or roll or dip into any of the toppings. Use the wet topping first so the others will stick.

I freeze all my fruit (except pineapple) when making my fruit smoothies. Then in the morning when I am preparing my smoothie, I just take out the frozen fruit, put it in my blender, add about 1/2 cup of milk or yogurt (your choice)(yogurt gives me ocular migraines so I don’t use that)and blend away. This way you don’t have to add any ice to make your smoothie rich and frozen.

Do you have a recipe for those chocolate-covered bananas in the picture? They sure look yummy.

For chocolate covered bananas – put a Popsicle stick in the end of a peeled banana, freeze. While it is freezing melt what ever kind of chocolate you want in a pan, dip frozen banana in melted chocolate. Refreeze. You can roll them in candies, nuts etc. after dipping in the chocolate if you want too.
