Easy Sourdough Discard Waffles Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour or wheat flour
1 cup sourdough starter discard
1 1/2 cups milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil, margarine or butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sourdough starter discard and milk.  Let sit for 4 hours to overnight in a warm place.
  2. Beat in the remaining ingredients, just until smooth. Do not over mix.
  3. Pour the batter onto the center of the hot waffle iron.
  4. Bake 5 minutes or until the steaming stops.
  5. Remove carefully.
