6 lbs. ground beef 8 slices bread, cubed 3 cups milk 1 1/2 cup tomato juice 4 eggs onion powder (to taste) or 1 cup chopped onion salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°.
  2. Mix all ingredients together.
  3. Pour into three 9×13 inch baking pans.
  4. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours (until done). Stir frequently.
  5. Serve with pickles on hamburger buns. You can also serve on bread in the same way you serve Sloppy Joes.

Notes

You can halve the recipe, and it freezes very well.
