Work or Pray?

I thought this I was wonderful way of describing frugal living: Pray or Work?  Thanks Angel for sending it me! Tawra

Thank you, I need all the help I can get! We are moving into a new home soon and with 8 children 16 and younger, and one that just turned 18, we truly need all the help we can get! God bless!

I once heard that God doesn’t do for you what you can do for yourself. You need a combination of both. In the same way it would be foolish for my 16 year old grandson to expect me to put on and tie his shoes for him when he is perfectly capable of doing it himself. He can beg and plead (pray) all day for me to do it but there is no way I will do if for him.

But the moment he needs something done which is out of his reach or ability to do, you had better belief I will be there to help and even do it for him or teach him how to do it – before he even asks. God is the same way with us.

Pray like that is the only thing that matters and
Work like that is the only thing that matters.
My sunday school student taught me this one!

  3. says

Pray while you work! God never gets tired of hearing from us. You’re right Jill, God will help those who are diligent and serious about accomplishing their tasks, whatever they may be! He may answer you in a way you didn’t expect, but he will always answer your prayers :-)
