The Active Word

Several readers have asked about our church. We go to church at Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale. When we lived in Kansas, we joked around that we were the Andover, KS branch because we watched it home with mom and my brother and his family.

We’ve decided to post a teaching from Pastor Bob here each Sunday for those of you would like to enjoy it also.

If you don’t have a church home and can’t attend then you can watch their services live here.

Eastern Standard Time:

Saturdays – 6pm

Sundays – 8am, 10:15am, 12:30pm

Wednesdays – 6:30pm

If you can’t watch it live, here is a message you might like:

From Pastor Bob

“Victorious – A Study Through The Book Of Joshua Ch.1″

In this message we begin a new series on the Old Testament book, Joshua. Pastor Bob reminds us of the importance of taking responsibility for our own faith, yet we are encouraged that God will never leave our side along the way.

      Enjoy!

do u have a book to study out of too? .. like a study book? .. or is this just a sermon? .. just curious :D

    • Our pastor is teaching on the book of Joshua in this and is going through the Bible in detail. I really am enjoying it because he shows all kinds of things like the history and customs at that time and then pulls it in to relate to our day and age and he does it all without being heavy, too deep or confusing.
Sometimes I feel like a starving person with him and can’t get enough of the “food” he is feeding because it is so good, easy to understand and I can use it the next day in my life so it is so practical.

But anyway no you just need a Bible.
