Ranch Dressing/Dip

1 cup mayonnaise (low-fat may be used)
1 cup buttermilk
2 Tbsp. green onions, minced (tops only or chives)
1/4 tsp. onion powder or 1 Tbsp. fresh onions, minced
2 tsp. parsley, minced
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder or 1/2 to 1 garlic clove, finely minced
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Combine ingredients in a container with a lid and refrigerate before serving. Makes 2 cups. For Ranch Dip, use sour cream or yogurt in place of buttermilk.

I’ve been eating more salads lately, so I’m loving these recipes. I also plan to make that hot dog recipe you had in the newsletter this weekend, which I’m looking forward to. Thanks.

I made this dressing over the weekend and it’s so good!

How long will this keep in the fridge?

    • About 2 weeks. You could always cut the recipe in half or you could keep the dry spices mixed and in a packet then when you want some dressing mix equal parts of mayo and buttermilk and sprinkle in the spices from your packet to taste.

Thanks so much for posting this recipe! I have been needing a recipe for homemade ranch dressing. I was wondering if a little dill would be a good addition?
