Hi everyone!
Well, we had a good vacation. I just got unpacked yesterday. I found it funny that as I was unpacking I was thinking, "Why can't I ever seem to be all organized at once?" on the same day that mom wrote about getting rid of stuff (Tuesday's newsletter). I feel like all I do is toss, toss and toss some more but I'm still overwhelmed with stuff! I've only been to 2 garage sales this year and didn't buy anything! LOL
We are frantically cleaning for a TV crew that will be coming this morning unexpectedly. I would love someday to be as organized as mom and say, "Sure! Come on in, I'm ready!" (No, flylady didn't work for me. :-) Oh well -- you can be sure that when mom talks about being organized, she knows what she's talking about, but I sure didn't get that gene!
I will hopefully get some pictures from the trip on the blog soon. We're still caught in the "returning from vacation" whirlwind!
Have a great rest of the week!

Today's Tips:
- Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent the ice cream from dripping.
- Cut a slit in the center of a paper muffin cup and slide it over a Popsicle stick to catch drips.
- Cook corn on the cob like you normally do but for a different twist sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garlic powder after you have buttered it.
- If you have an extra package of the cheese that comes in a box of macaroni and cheese dinner, sprinkle some of that on to a piece of buttered corn.

Here's another great dip for when unexpected company drops in or you need something quick.
Barbecue Dip
1 cup sour cream
1/2 to 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
Mix ingredients. I usually don't measure anything in this recipe. I just start adding the barbecue sauce to the sour cream until it tastes good. It's really yummy with plain old potato chips.
Orange Floats
Vanilla ice cream
Orange pop (or soda)
Place one scoop of ice cream in a tall glass and pour a small amount of orange pop on it. Add another scoop and more pop. Repeat this until your glass is full. Top with whipped topping and/or an orange slice.
