Several readers have asked about our church. We go to church at Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale. When we lived in Kansas, we joked around that we were the Andover, KS branch because we watched it home with mom and my brother and his family.
We’ve decided to post a teaching from Pastor Bob here each Sunday for those of you would like to enjoy it also.

“Dealing With Disappointment And Discouragement”
We all face disappointments in life, from a bad movie or restaurant meal to the outcome of an election or a medical test. In this teaching, Pastor Fidel reminds us that disappointment, if not dealt with, can lead to discouragement, depression, and even despair. Shortly after a great “mountaintop” experience, Elijah allowed a threat to move him to the point of despair, literally praying for God to take his life. Only by obeying God, as Elijah did, can we overcome the downward slide from disappointment.
