Cutting Homemade Brownies

I wanted to add a tip for cutting brownies. When you cut brownies, if you use a plastic knife, your brownies won’t “tear” apart like they sometimes do. This even works (but not quite as well) on warm brownies.

We had a ton of people email us with tip so it must work great!

I line the pan with foil and spray with cooking spray before adding the batter. When the baked brownies are cool, life the foil out, ease it from around the edges of the brownies, and cut them with a pizza cutter. It’s easier to make even sized pieces and the pan is easier to clean.
