Mom and I spent the morning packing up and cleaning out the garage. Boy I sure hope we find a house! 
If you are like us and getting ready to sell your house realize that it is IMPERATIVE that you have it as clean and uncluttered as possible. You will get so much more money and your house will sell so much faster if you have most things packed up and ready before you even put it on the market.
By doing this last time we sold our house in 10 days!
We are dumping a lot of things and have a huge pile for the thrift store already. They are coming by tomorrow to pick it up. This also helps for when it’s time to move because you don’t have to go through everything while you’re moving.

Tawra, we just did this same thing! We’ve lived in this home (our first) for 18 years, and boy, did we have a lot of purging to do to get it “show ready”. It was a huge effort, but it really paid off because we had an offer in the first 3 days we were on the market. We are set to close in two weeks! God is so merciful.
Now, if I can just find a reputable mover… any good suggestions on moving frugally when all your family and friends are too old to move furniture? Ha.
Anyhow, good luck with the garage, and don’t be like me and forget the attic! Not pretty.
Hello, this is Roxie in Texas. Good luck with this packing and moving. I sure hope you find a house that suits your needs at a price that is affordable. I too know moving is a pain in the toot. I spent years as a military wife and that ment we moved every couple of years. I hated it. Never did like it.
I too have been decluttering. I just finished my kitchen and got rid of stuff I did not use. I gave away 5 large (55 gallon size) bags of Tupperware. It took me 35 years of marriage to collect that much but I don’t use much of it now and I would rather have the space in the pantry. I gave this ‘clutter’ to my daughter in law. She will sell part of it on e-bay and use part of it.

one thing to do is to rent a u-haul yourself and then hire teenage boys (or girls for that matter) to help you move.
Try asking your church’s youth group or the sports teams, like the football, team at the high school.
