Easy Peach Cobbler

Hi Tawra - just wanted to let you know I've really enjoyed joining your website. I was reading your recipes for cobbler and just wanted to add a really easy (cheap) 3 ingredient cobbler. One large can of peaches (undrained), top with a butter pecan cake mix, and pour 1 stick of butter (melted) over the top. Bake and enjoy - the juice from the peaches mixes with the mix and butter and makes a cruchy topping. Thanks again, Tonya W.

sounds yummy... but i am wondering, can you use regular flavor cake mix (the yellow cake or white cake) instead of the butter pecan flavored cake mix? ...
just curious ...
thanks for sharing :D

I was wondering about that, too...bec. Aldi carries only a couple of kinds of cake mix.

But I couldn't resist, and went right out on Fri. and got butter pecan cake mix at Wal-Mart (98cents), and my Wonderful Husband and I lapped it right up!

I made just half the recipe since there's only two of us right now...we're sure looking forward to the other half sometime soon! Thank you SO much for this recipe--and for the blog!!!

I tried this over the weekend using ingredients on hand. A store brand yellow cake mix, 2 15 oz cans of mixed fruit and a stick and a half of margarine, sliced. (I couldn't remember if it was a stick or stick and a half. I'm sure if I had melted it it would have gone further than it did in slices, but I was feeling lazy.) The resulting dessert made my hubby VERY happy.
