Tired all the time.
I went to Dr. Robertson, my nutritional doctor, last week. I have been so tired I can hardly keep standing. I feel like some of the supplements he's given me have helped a lot of things but I still don't have any energy.
Everything is fine but I'm just really tired.
He said that I'm low on salt. That if you don't have salt then you can be very tired. So he told me to salt everything (I already do) and to take 1/2 tsp. sea salt in a glass of water for 3 days. He said in a week or two I should start feeling better.
I thought it might be helping yesterday as I felt great but of course then I over did and now today I'm right back to square one.
Of course Mike and mom keep saying "no wonder your tired. You have 3 kids, are trying to run a house, run a business, start huge gardens and you're not even unpacked from moving yet and oh yeah, you have a chronic illness. Hello?!"
I admit I do feel like I'm doing too much at the moment and none of it very good but I still think I should have more energy than this.
It will be interesting to see what happens. If this salt thing works I will have to eat my words because I told him I didn't think it would. :-)
I better run. Just wanted to update everyone!

I've heard really good things about the trace minerals in sea salt too. I have been increasing my trace mineral consumption lately too for the same reason (fatigue, but not chronic --I had a baby almost 5 months ago and seem to have had colds, etc. ever since). I hope you feel back on track soon.
Tawra, this is probably a dumb suggestion since over the years you've no doubt been under close doctors' care, but... are you deficient in vitamin B-12? My sister had been feeling progressively worse and worse over the last few years and could barely get the necessary housework done after supper before she would crash. She is a legal secretary, and was beginning to forget things at work (not a good thing!). She's also a person who loves home-improvement projects (she asked for a circular saw one Christmas!), and she had no desire to do anything but eat and sleep, and of course was severely depressed. She had nearly every test under the sun until they found her B-12 level was in the basement. She's been taking a supplement for a few months now, and she's nearly her old self again. It's good to have her back. I don't know if this will help you or not, but maybe it'll help someone else who reads this.

Yes, B12 deficiency if an easy one to miss - my mother has it, and it took years before someone thought to test her for it. I am a bit surprised that you need extra salt, though - this seems unusual unless you are losing it through a stomach bug or something. Keep an eye on your blood pressure if you are taking so much salt, just to be safe.
