Reader Tip

First, I would like to say, I love your website and the newsletter. I also bought Living On a Dime book and love it. I actually made window cleaner using the recipe in the book. My 1 year old daughter was asleep and I was taking advantage and cleaning the house when I realized I didn't have any window cleaner! I thought I had seen the recipe to make it in your book, so dug it out of the collection of cookbooks and sure enough, there it was! Works like a charm!


My tip is for making toddler friendly food.
I made spaghetti and wanted to give my daughter some for dinner as well. She still isn't chewing great, so I wanted to chop it up into little pieces. The small food chopper I have chopped too much and I didn't want to stand there with a knife and fork. Then I thought, pastry blender! I dug that out of my drawer and the way it is curved fits nicely in a bowl and does wonders for chopping spaghetti for little mouths! I have used it for several other projects like that since then. Love a multi-tasking kitchen tool!
