Making money selling books.
I've had several people ask "why aren't you making more money selling books?"
Here is a great article that explains why.
Right now we are earning about $1500 a month from books for Mike's salary. Not much but we hope to get that higher soon doing more Internet stuff and less book peddling.

i'm not a writer, but that was a great informative article. thanks for sharing it.
Hi Tawra and Jill!
I just had to let you know how much I love the new books! They arrived in the mail yesterday and I devoured "Penny Pinching Mama" last night after my kids went to bed. What I loved most about the book, and what I think by itself is worth the price of the book, is Jill's point that attitude is everything (and I think especially the mom's attitude - it seems to set the tone for the whole household). Through Jill's tips and her stories about real-life frugal living, I was so inspired. I bet that if she had lived in the 1800's she would have been crossing the prarie and driving the wagon herself! (With the kids in the back!) I am about to start on "Digging out of Debt" tonight, and it looks just as good. Great books. I am so pleased with my purchase.

Tawra,
One more thing. This post reminds me of a comment I once read by Jonni McCoy, bestselling author of "Miserly Moms". She was being interviewed, and I think the interviewer was surprised that she still practiced her miserly ways after publishing a best-selling book. She said something like publishing a book for the author pays about as much as working at McDonalds. I guess so!
