Great Deals
I am just now able to post my after Halloween deals. I stopped by our local grocery store the day after Halloween to see what deals they had. They had everything 75% off! I was so excited. They had ALL their fall stuff including these plates which I got for .25 EACH!! yeah!! I have been wanting some new plates and these will match the chef plates that I've asked for Christmas. I love the little chef guys but the kids needed smaller plates so these will be perfect! The only problem is all three of them always want the red one!
Then after I got home there was a message from my mom on the answering machine. It said "call me back quick. " Well, she was at her Walgreens and they had all their Halloween candy on clearance for .50 a bag!!!! We got candy for the next year! I got it for the school parties, stocking stuffers, Valentines Day and Christmas baking. The I got a couple of extras for birthday parties and other times. I was so excited! Most of it was $5 a bag to begin with! Buying candy for the school parties alone would cost me $15 for all three kids if I got the "cheapy" stuff and this was the "good" stuff! :-)
It doesn't look like much here but I think I ended up with around 25 which will last me most of next year! Yeah!! I am going to make sure that I use the stuff that is perishable first the gummie bears and save the hard candies for later. Tawra

Was just 'googling' your name, found the website (I subscribed for the newsletter) and your blog.
Great to read how you are all doing and you are doing great! Lovely kids and good to hear that you and your mom are dealing quit good with your illness.
