Now I'm going to the vet.
As most of you know I've been pretty sick lately. It seems like I've been going downhill fast for awhile. I know I've talked about it some but I have not really expressed how bad it's really been. It's getting to the point where I can hardly walk my feet and legs are hurting so bad and I feel like someone just put a hole in me and all my motivation and energy just drained right out of my body. I don't want to do anything and I'm just sore and in pain 24/7.
I've been trying the no sugar thing and various different things to help me feel better but it's just not working. I know I have a chronic illness but I feel like there is something more that's wrong.
Well, right before we moved in June a reader, Sheila, called and told me about this Dr. that she went to see in Missouri outside of Kansas City. She said that he's 85 yrs. old but at age 40 he was told to go home and die, from cancer I think. Well, he studied nutritional medicine and got his PH D. in nutritional medicine even though he was veterinarian already. He cured himself and has lived another 45 years!!
Well, she just swore up an down how great this guy was. We moved and I lost the paper with the info. on it. Today I was going to put a notice on the Thursday newsletter for her to send me the info. again. Well, I found it so I called. They said, came you come tomorrow? Mind you it's 4 hours away!
I am going to give a go and try. I go back to the hormone doctor next Tuesday so I would like to hear what this guy has to say.
It will be interesting to see to what happens. Wish me luck as I visit the vet! Tawra

Bless your heart. I'll be praying for you to get some good help from this dr.
I hope this doctor gives you some good ideas. I am a medical transcriptionist and I learn a lot in my job as I type patient notes. Sometimes I really think that maybe all the medication the doctors prescribe to patients (in addition to preservatives in food, hormones and antibiotics in meat and dairy products) actually makes people worse, you know? Anyway, good luck with the vet and keep us posted. You are in my prayers!

Tawra, I've just started reading your blog and don't know anything about your health problems. I do wish you well and hope this new dr. will help you. Prayers and hugs your way!
I'm sorry you've been given such a heavy load to bear- I hope this guy is able to help you! God bless you.
Tawra, I hope you're able to find some relief. I have FM, CMP and CFS (among other sundrie "plagues"); the best doctor I've been to happens to be a pain management doc who knows a lot about FM. Since there's no known medical cure we just treat the symptoms. I've tried various diets as well, and to be honest nothing worked for me, although I know several others with FM who have been helped by diet changes and exercise. I'll be interested to hear about what you learn from the nutritional doc. I would be happy to send you some suggestions as far as treating the FM symptoms go, if you would like. You'll also find some information about FM and CMP on my blog. Please send me an email ~ I'd love to "chat"! :)
Blessings,

Hi Tawra,
I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I feel your pain. I have a 13 year old daughter, and 2 babies under the age of 2, a year apart. I never have any energy.
I have recently read an article in Women's World Magazine about Yeast Overgrowth. I most of the symptoms listed. This is the article that I read http://www.beautyandtheyeastbeast.com/articleWORD.html
I started researching more information on the web and found that yeast can cause fibromyalgia as well as so many other health problems. I am very interested to try to get help for this. The problem is many doctors don't recognize Yeast Overgrowth as a real condition. I also read the Yeast Connection by Dr. William G. Crook, MD. http://www.yeastconnection.com/about.html
Some anti-fungal medications are prescribed (which are very expensive) A strict diet of no sugar, white starchy foods, even certain fruits and veggies for a few months, then you can add these things back into your diet gradually and you are supposed to be free of the symptoms and feel much better. I hope you have some good recipe ideas that are not too expensive if you follow through with this nutritionist. I am trying to buy organic, and eat more Stoneyfield Farm Yogurt. I do notice a difference with just eating the yogurt, but I really need a lot more help to feel 100% better. This fibromyalgia stuff intrigues me to find help. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck at the vets!!

I'm eager to see how your visit goes. I suffer from FMS & CFS as well and would love to find a way to make life easier.
Tawra, I am so sorry. It breaks my heart to think of you living in pain like that. I sure hope the 'vet' can help you. Have you tried acupuncture? (I don't know if it is spelled right, sorry) Also I have almost constant back pain from an accident I was in almost 20 years ago. I could not/would not live on pain pills forever. The pain is not going to go away, surgery is not an option for me, so I took several classes through our hospital on living with pain. It does not work all the time, but most of the time I am able to work through the pain and do what I need to do.
I wish you well, I know that with a family, a business, and a home that you are busy and need to be free of pain. I wish I was there to help you. Roxie
Praying for you here, Tawra.
I am looking forward to reading what his recommendations are. It sounds really exciting.
Tawra, who is your hormone Doctor. I had a hysterectomy in December. :)
