Navajo Fry Bread
From: JO ANN G.
I have a tip for the Navajo Fry Bread. I was in a
rush this evening, so I thought I would use Grand
biscuits, instead of making the version here. I
just rolled them out with a rolling pin and put a
small hole in the middle and followed the rest of
the recipe. My family loves it! We also had
fried apples for dessert, and I crushed up some
homemade (plain)granola bars on it. It was YUMMY!
Thank you so much for a wonderful site to explore
new recipes and tips for living on a dime!

Thanks for posting this Tawra, I've always wanted to try fry bread. I'm part Cherokee and I'm not sure what they ate, but we'll give this a shot on Taco Night.
Hi Tawra, Just wanted to put my two cents in about the fry bread. My parents are missionaries to the Indians and came back with a wonderful cheaters version! You use frozen bread dough!!! It is wonderful!! We have been eating what we call "Indian Tacos" for years, especially on Christmas Eve. Also, instead of refried beans, we fry up hamburg, add dry taco seasoning, and chili beans. Then we put on the regular toppings and taco sauce on to make this an unbelivable dish!!! I have become well known for my Indian tacos, that everybody requests it when invited over for dinner!!!
