3 in school.
Well all three kids are in school today! Yeah! I wish i could say I was doing the happy dance but I woke up really sick today. Oh well, I guess it's God's way of telling me to take a break. :-)
Mom and I cleaned up and organized the garage yesterday. Wow! It's wonderful being able to walk through it again. It's also nice to be able to find stuff when I need to fix something in the house. It's amazing how the little stuff drives you crazy! We can even park 2 cars in there now if we needed to in a hailstorm. Of course the "white car" is worth less than the riding lawn mower so I think we will keep it in there instead! LOL
I am still on a the sugar free diet. I am going to try and follow the plan in "you on a diet" by Dr. OZ. He is the most "normal" sounding doctor I've heard in a long time about getting your body in shape. He's a good "moderate" doctor which is nice for a change. He tells you to eat well but knows that we are human and will mess up now and then. Some of these people who want no wheat, no corn, no milk, no red meat, no yeast etc. just make it so hard that it's unrealistic.
Maybe if I follow his plan, which is simple, normal food, instead of just eating what I want that will help me stay with it better.

I can identify with what you're talking about as far as being tired at 3pm. There is a book called Adrenal fatigue by James Wilson which describes this problem,along with many other symptoms. I have been diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue by my doctor. Adrenal fatigue is caused by excessive stress on the body. I'm very sure my stress is caused by dental problems. I have several amalgam fillings and other dental problems. Dental problems can cause many other health problems that you wouldn't associate with your mouth. I recommend reading The Roots of Disease--Connecting Dentistry with Medicine by Robert Kulacz and Thomas Levy. This book will give you insight into how dental problems can affect your overall health. Lastly, I recommend going to www.peoplesrx.com and www.mercola.com. These sites have a wealth of information pertaining to your health.
(By the way, I understand your struggle with cutting out sugar. Try using Stevia. It's a natural sweetner that doesn't affect blood sugar)Alecia
Another good book is 'What the Bible says about Healthy Living' by Dr. Rex ...... ( I always forget his last name!)...Russell (that's it! Had to go look at the book!) This is the book that I found when I was fed up with all the conflicting diets out there and was looking for a healthier way for our family to eat.
This is loosly based on the Mosaic diet of the old testament. I simply thought that what God said must make the most sense since He created us, so that is where I started.
Since we started almost three years ago, I have lost (slowly) 27 lbs. The kids went from constant colds, runny noses and upset tummies to only being sick about once a year! My hubby's skin which has been awefull with acne the 20 years I've known him is almost cleared up entirely.
We are generally much healthier than we were before. And I must confess that we don't even follow it ALL totally all the time! The best thing is that this is all about eating REAL foods. The good foods that God made for our bodies to use and enjoy. It is just about avoiding foods that God never intended us to eat - and it works!
