Saving on Movies
Hi Tawra and gang,
First off I'd like to say that my wife and I love
your site and books. We find a lot of good tips
and recipes that are very inexpensive.
I'd also like to add a comment to the article
where a reader called in about whether Netflix
was a good deal.
I agree with you that you can get a lot of good
movies at the library for free of charge. But for
those that are looking for a little more current
selection of movies and can still wait long
enough for the to go into the "non-new release"
section of the video stores, I recommend
Blockbuster's Rewards program. For less the $10
you get a coupon emailed to you for a free non
new release movie each month. Plus, once in a
while they email a $1.99 movie coupon that can be
used for a new release. Last year when it was
time for our renewal we received a coupon for
half off the membership price. That made it less
then $6 for a year and gave us at least 12 free
movies for the year.
On top of that I also found a site called
epoll.com that is a survey site. Doing surveys
for them, I have accumulated enough points to
redeem them for 3 free blockbuster rentals and
one $10 gift card for blockbuster. If one does
not want to redeem them for blockbuster cards you
can also redeem your points you get for
completing the surveys for other gift
certificates or donate them to charity.
Harrispollonline.com is also another good site
for doing surveys and getting points redeemable
for rewards. I've received about 4 dvd movies
from that site.
Hope these help some of your readers.
